A Whatcom County Potter for over 40 years. I have participated in the Bellingham Farmers Market in the past as both a farmer and as a craftsman. Currently I'm concentrating on my craftwork. My focus is primarily on utilitarian ware fine enough to bring out and enhance the ceremonial aspect of everyday activities such as the preparation and presentation of food and drink.
Products
Currently, I'm producing a line of useful forms decorated with a palette of ten different glazes all comprised with Mt. St. Helens Volcanic Ash from the May 18, 1980 eruption. The ash is the largest single ingredient in each of these glazes, ranging from 25% to 98% of the recipe. I am also presenting an extensive selection of stoneware cabinet knobs of my own design.
