Preserve the Flavor of the Market!
This Saturday is Chef in the Market! Come down for free cooking demonstrations with local Chefs. On the schedule for Saturday are Chuckanut Manor at
11 a.m. and Scratch Desserts at 1 p.m. At noon, local chef Mary Ellen Carter, in collaboration with Ball®, will present a free demonstration of how to preserve strawberries. This is part of an ongoing information series focused on food preservation sponsored by Ball®. Enter a drawing to win prizes of canning supplies and participate in a food swap event at the end of the season.
These demonstrations of how to prepare the best of what local farms have to offer are invaluable to budding cooks and experienced foodies alike. Check out the line-up here.
